Writing - Journalism: A Collection of Original Articles
Here is a selection of items that I wrote for various publications in decades gone by.
With the help of my friend George Walsh, I conducted an interview with Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane / Hot Tuna) in 1984. There's some fun stuff here if you're a fan.
Another early article is derived from a conversation with a good friend and a fine musician ... Mr.Bob Koenig. The interview dates back to the release date of his most recent CD, "Prose and Icons".
One of the most enjoyable pieces that I ever put together for the international magazine 'Eurodisc Agenda' was a transcript of my interview with Melanie! The piece spread over two issues (July and August) in the Summer of 1994.
The transcript of a piece that I did with Paul Kantner for 'Eurodisc Agenda' is pretty interesting, especially in hindsight!

In the mid/late 1990s, I did quite a bit of writing for a publication entitled "Smilin' Ears Magazine". They had a fairly decent circulation, and publish in the Netherlands. The specialty? You guessed it ... music collecting!
My monthly column was called "Rare Tape Round-Up". Here are links to a few of those columns that were actually preserved:
---> The July '96 issue features info on Patti Smith, Elvis Costello and Billy Joel
---> The Oct '96 issue features info on Devo, The Monkees, Gene Pitney and Collecting Tips!
---> The Jan. '97 issue features info on Eric Clapton, Jorma Kaukonen and my "Best of '96"
---> The May '97 issue features info on The Allman Brothers, CSNY, NRPS and "Missing In Action" Pete Townshend songs
---> The Sept. '97 issue features info on Elton John and The Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra.
Enjoy!
