The Writing

... A selection of items that I have written over the years.
(View a select resume of some noteworthy professional experience.)

I'll begin with some of the "professional" work that I have done for various periodicals and productions throughout the years.

  • This is an interview that I conducted with Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane / Hot Tuna) in 1984. There's some fun stuff here if you're a fan.
  • Here is an article derived from a conversation with a good friend and a fine musician ... Mr.Bob Koenig. The interview dates back to the release date of his most recent CD, "Prose and Icons".
  • One of the most enjoyable articles that I ever put together for "Eurodisc Agenda" was a transcript of my interview with Melanie! The piece spread over two issues in Summer of 1994.
  • This is the transcript of a piece that I did with Paul Kantner for Eurodisc Agenda Magazine. Pretty interesting.
  • Over the years I have done quite a bit of writing for a publication entitled (most recently) "Smilin' Ears Magazine". They have a fairly decent circulation, and publish in the Netherlands. The specialty? You guessed it ... music collecting. My column is called "Rare Tape Round-Up". Check below for links to some pages from past issues:
---> The Oct '96 issue features info on Devo, The Monkees, Gene Pitney and Collecting Tips!
---> The Jan. '97 issue features info on Eric Clapton, Jorma Kaukonen and my "Best of '96"
---> The May '97 issue features info on The Allman Brothers, CSNY, NRPS and "Missing In Action" Pete Townshend songs
---> The July '96 issue features info on Patti Smith, Elvis Costello and Billy Joel
---> The Sept. '97 issue features info on Elton John and The Planet Earth Rock and Roll Orchestra
  • Here is some background information on a tour for a children's production which I co-authored called "Emperors' Tales." It toured the UK briefly in 1995. I'm pretty proud of this piece, actually.
  • Finally, upon request, here are some of my original lyrics.

On a personal note, here is a link to a brief ... okay, somewhat brief ...
alright, NOT so brief ... mostly musical ... bio of yours truly!

Or maybe we should stop first at Tony's tape trading list?
In fact, he sounds like a cool dude, I'd like to know a bit more about this Tony guy.
