Rare Tapes and CDRs for New and Seasoned Collectors!
The pages on this site are meant to serve two purposes. Some provide a "primer" for young collectors (lovingly referred to as "newbies") looking for information about how to successfully start a rare/live music collection. I've included "tips of the trade" that I've collected over the years for initiating and executing trades with both seasoned collectors and fellow newbies. Traders can also view a list (in progress) of my rare CD/CD-R collection, as well as my complete cassette collection (for reference purposes only). The drop-down menus (below) can help you focus on a particular artist. Many thanks for stopping by!

My Rare CD/CD-R Trade List

NOTE: OK ... so I must admit that I'm a bit fried these days.
Having said that, I will have to hold off on ANY CASSETTE-related trades!

NOTE: At this time, I am also temporarily suspending all CD/CD-R trades until further notice.
Some basic info:
I've been in the collecting game for a long time now, and my interests range from folky stuff like Arlo Guthrie, John Sebastian and Melanie to "punk" stuff like Patti Smith and Lou Reed.

My most extensive collections at this point are probably of The Beatles, The Who, Elton John, Billy Joel, Hot Tuna, The Grateful Dead and The Jefferson Airplane.

I'm always in search of more of the above, but I'm also seeking more shows by artists like Richard Thompson, The Guess Who (pre-1976 or post 2000) and Barenaked Ladies.

Don't be afraid to suggest anything at all for trade ... I'm pretty musically open minded. I must admit, however, that I'm shying away from cassette trades these days

The only "NO's!!" are: "Death Metal", "Rap", some of the newer metal bands, and ... Kenny G. (Sorry ... I HAD to say it!)

This material is ABSOLUTELY for TRADE PURPOSES ONLY!!!!!
Don't even ask about purchasing, please. Thanks!

Note to "Newbies": My time constraints are sometimes really gnarly, so I may not return a newbie-related e-mail right away. When time allows, though, I do like to try and help folks out via mutually agreed upon, NON-PROFIT(!) arrangements. Heck, if it weren't for some wonderful folks over the years, my collection wouldn't be what it is!!

OK, that about covers it, I suppose.
